Messer Construction

Messer Construction Co. is a construction manager and general contractor that specializes in complex commercial building projects. Founded in 1932, the company's first project was the construction of the Nashville Post Office- now known as the Frist Center for the Visual Arts- on Broadway Street downtown, paving the way for a strong foundation in the area. In 2006 Messer opened its Nashville office and has since invested nearly $200,000, along with numerous volunteer hours, into the Nashville community. Notable projects include Middle Tennessee State University Student Union, Student Services Building and parking garages; Vanderbilt University Powerhouse Gas Conversion renovation and addition (Phase I and II); Meharry Medical College Cal Turner Family Center; Motlow State Community College Smyrna Center; and multiple fire stations and police precincts for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County.
