Resources for businesses in the Nashville region affected by the recent tornado
Early Tuesday morning, March 3, a tornado along with severe thunderstorms caused significant destruction throughout the Nashville region. We are heartbroken to see and hear of the loss of life and damage to our neighbors' homes and businesses, but are encouraged by the outpouring of support from the Nashville community. Our thoughts and prayers continue to remain with those that were impacted.
If your business was adversely affected by Tuesday's tornado, please complete this short form. The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor's Office are working to asses the impact of the tornado on the business community. This information will help the City understand which businesses have been impacted and how to reach business owners when resources and services are available.

Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee - CFMT manages the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund and distributes grants to nonprofits providing vital services to those impacted.
Resources for impacted businesses and residents:
Small Business Administration Disaster Relief Loans - The SBA is offering Disaster Assistance Loans to impacted businesses. Businesses of all sizes can apply for SBA Disaster Loans. SBA Business loans can provide up to $2 million in physical damages (real estate, inventory, equipment, etc.) and working capital (no physical damages necessary to qualify). A low-interest SBA federal loan can give homeowners up to $200,000 for primary residence and up to $40,000 for personal property (homeowners and renters. Please note, the SBA has suspended in-person operations given the COVID-19 outbreak, however those affected by the tornado still have ways to apply for assistance and get additional information. You can apply online or call 1-800-658-2955 for an application or more information. The deadline to return applications for physical property damage is May 4, 2020.
Changes to Metro Nashville Services and Operations - Given the COVID-19 pandemic, Metro Nashville has adjusted operations for various departments.
Impacted businesses or those currently unemployed because of the tornado can contact the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Disaster Assistance Line. Employers can call 615-551-3501 and employees call 615-247-5138.
Tennessee Department of Human Services is making it easier for families to apply for new resources available to those with a financial need who were impacted by the tornado. Individuals can apply for Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) benefits and the Families First / Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Emergency Cash Assistance program from home.
The Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition has an assistance line for immigrants and refugees who may need help at 615-414-1030.
