Indoor Nashville activities to enjoy before winter ends

It’s February and spring is fast-approaching. Even though it’s rainy and cold, there is plenty to enjoy indoors in Nashville.

Here are some fun activities you can check out before spring arrives (or anytime!)

Sports

Centennial Sportsplex – If you want to stay active without venturing into the unforgiving Nashville winter, Centennial Sportsplex has it all. You can enjoy public ice skating, fitness classes, swimming and even indoor tennis at this family-friendly facility.

TopGolf – Technically this isn’t “inside”, but with heaters in every bay you can still enjoy a trip to the driving range without freezing your buns off. TopGolf allows you a chance to shoot some golf balls, play games, enjoy food and drinks, and hang out with friends and family.

Nashville Predators – Playoffs are approaching, so try and make it to a Predators game before the last regular season home game in early April. You might still need a jacket, but cheering for your hometown hockey team is sure to get your blood flowing.

Music & Arts

Tennessee Performing Arts Center – Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) has amazing shows all year round. But there’s nothing cozier than catching a Broadway play, concert, live podcast taping, comedy show or more when the temperature is dropping.

The Belcourt Theatre – Maybe you’re more of a film buff. If you haven’t caught and indie film in the historic Belcourt Theatre, you are missing out. Single tickets as well as year-long memberships are available. Craft beer, wine and cocktails are also available to warm you up during your movie.

Schermerhorn Symphony Center – If you think that the Symphony isn’t for you, you’re wrong. You don’t have to be a classical music buff to enjoy a show at the Nashville Symphony. Along with classical shows, the Nashville Symphony also hosts pop concerts, movies accompanied by the symphony and more.

Museums

Frist Art Museum – Frist Art Museum is home to thought-provoking exhibitions that will challenge your mind without needing to brave the winter weather. Right now, through May of 2019, Frist Art Museum is home to works by Van Gogh, Monet, Degas and more.

Adventure Science Center – While there is plenty to explore at Adventure Science Center, one of the best ways to enjoy it on a cold day is by visiting their state-of-the-art planetarium, unparalleled in the United States. Catch a star show or laser concert throughout the year.

Discovery Center – If you’re looking for a way to keep the kids warm in Murfreesboro, check out Discovery Center. This museum is full of hands-on exhibits to keep the little ones busy and expend energy without needing to wear a coat.
