Nashville small business programming: what’s new for 2019?

As we reach the end of this year, we are excited to announce small business programming and resources that will help you grow your business.

Our mission at the Nashville Chamber is to drive economic development by facilitating community leadership, and that means ensuring the Nashville region remains the premier environment for small businesses, entrepreneurs, startups and creators.

Our city’s economic growth and momentum has been getting a lot of national attention recently, and we think it’s because of the collaboration, density, and elbow grease that everyone in Nashville brings to the table. Your progress and accomplishments have made 2018 a year to remember, but we are thrilled to partner with you to make 2019 even stronger.

We are so excited to provide the small business community of Nashville the highest quality of unique resources and cohesive navigation services to ensure every business has the resources and opportunities to grow, learn, strategize, and collaborate in the new year.

So – what’s new for small business programming and resources at the Chamber?

Nashpreneurs Now

Our Small Business Hub newsletter has a new name – Nashpreneurs Now. This new name reflects the Nashpreneurs platform that we have built to help Nashville entrepreneurs connect and share their expertise digitally. Nashpreneurs Now will be delivered to your inbox on the fourth Thursday of every month to recap the previous Business Studio meeting and look forward to the next one.

Additionally, each monthly newsletter will also feature two new content pieces: Partner Profiles and Small Biz Superstars. Partner Profiles will give you a look at a partner organization or individual that we think Nashville entrepreneurs should know about. We will also highlight a Small Biz Superstar, nominated by their peers, that exemplifies the best qualities of Nashville entrepreneurs.

To nominate a business, including your own, for Small Biz Superstar, fill out this form to get started.

Business Studio

Business Studio will now be on a quarterly content structure and events will be held on the second Thursday of each month. Each quarter will feature three events on the following themes:

Growth and Scaling: These will be classroom-style workshops led by industry experts on various topics related to growth and scaling. This will be the theme for Business Studio meetings in January, April, July, and October.

Strategic Marketing: These will be casual panel discussions on unique strategies for successful business marketing. This will be the theme for February, May, August, and November.

Nashpreneurs Happy Hour: These will be chances to unwind with a beer at a unique networking event and meet key players in the community. This will be the theme for March, June, September, and December.

Also, look forward to special and exclusive quarterly events that we will be hosting with community partners!

You can register for the first Business Studio event of 2019 here – Crafting a Business Strategy for the New Year on January 10. You can register for other Business Studio events on our Event Calendar.

Leadership Connect

Now in it’s second year, our Leadership Connect cohort program is becoming a unique resource and training program for small business owners. We look forward to working with the 2019 Leadership Connect cohort throughout the coming year. You can learn more about this year’s cohort and see what makes them special here.

Small business programming depends on entrepreneurs to make it valuable and worthwhile. We are excited to hear your thoughts! If you have any questions, please contact our Director of Business Growth Initiatives - Jordan Taylor Sloan.
