Chamber hosts reception honoring Pay it Forward members

Last month we were thrilled to host a reception honoring our Pay It Forward members. We welcomed over 50 guests to the Chamber’s office for an opportunity to network with other Pay It Forward recipients, members of the Member Relations committee, as well as members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

Pay It Forward is an annual program which provides the Board of Directors an opportunity to sponsor a company’s first year of membership. The Chamber’s Board of Directors is comprised of over 30 executives in the Nashville area who are committed to the mission of facilitating community leadership to create economic prosperity. The Board is proud to oversee the Pay It Forward program and provide companies an opportunity for membership. Thank you to the Board members who came to meet with some of the members whose membership they made possible.

At this year’s reception, we proudly honored recipients from 2016, 2017, and 2018. In addition to hearing remarks from Chamber CEO Ralph Schulz and Board Member Wanda Lyle, we heard from Tunisia Scott—2016 recipient and President of Tennessee Minority Pages. Tunisia shared the story of her business, how she has benefited from her Chamber membership, and why it was an easy decision to continue the membership. Thank you, Tunisia, for sharing your story!

We want to give a special thank you to the 2016 recipients who elected to continue their membership. We also wish to extend a thank you to the 2017 and 2018 recipients for accepting this opportunity. We look forward to continuing to engage you with the Chamber!
