Celebrating South Nashville and Antioch businesses

South Nashville and Antioch are two of the Nashville area’s fastest growing neighborhoods.

As more people move to these areas, we want to highlight the businesses that make the area one of our region’s most diverse and interesting.

37211 – South Nashville, Radnor & Paragon Mills

Stretching south from Wedgewood-Houston along Nolensville Pike, this zip code is known for its racial diversity, amazing ethnic restaurants and vibrant businesses along the corridor. Here are a few of the members that make South Nashville a great place to visit.

Boo at the Zoo in Nashville

Conexión Américas – This nonprofit organization helps Latin-American families in Middle Tennessee reach their goals by promoting their social, economic and civic integrations into the Nashville community. There are plenty of ways to get involved with their mission through volunteering and attending events like their “Common Grounds” open house.

Las Palmas Mexican Restaurants – Craving authentic Mexican food? Las Palmas has nine locations, is locally owned and has been voted the Best Mexican Restaurant by readers of the Nashville Scene for four years in a row. Las Palmas also gives back to the community through charitable giving and partnerships with nonprofits like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere – You can’t miss out on a visit to the Nashville Zoo. In addition to the amazing animals in the zoo, there are plenty of fun events for everyone in the family like 5K runs, holiday events, food and drink festivals, and much more. The best way to experience the zoo is with a membership, which gives you free admission for a year, as well as discounts at other zoos nationwide and more.

37013 – Antioch, Four Corners & Cane Ridge

This area covers east of Nolensville Pike to Percy Priest Lake and south to La Vergne. In addition to Antioch, Mill Creek Parks and the Four Corners Recreation Area on the lake, there is plenty to see in this part of town, including the member businesses below.

Youth hockey school at Ford Ice Center.

Ford Ice Center – Not only is this the place where the beloved Nashville Predators hockey team practices, Ford Ice Center offers plenty of ways for you and your family to get involved. Daily public skating hours, adult hockey practice, skating instruction by the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy and private events, Ford Ice Center is an asset to the Antioch community.

Nelson Andrews Leadership Center – If your team needs a better place for a meeting, Nelson Andrews Leadership Center is a great option. Their venue rental and leadership development services have options for every event from small team retreats to meetings for hundreds of people. Have a better meeting with help from their knowledgeable staff.

Slim & Husky’s in Hickory Hollow – Slim & Husky’s is a staple of the Buchanan Arts District in North Nashville, known for their amazing pizza and beer selection, but have you visited their new Antioch location? Slim & Husky’s is also invested in the community. They have partnered with Cole Elementary in Antioch to reward kids for reading with free pizza and cinnamon rolls!
