Four Nashville-area Cities Named Top 100 Places to Live in 2017


Money Magazine recently released their 2017 Top 100 Best Places to Live list and four cities in the Nashville area made the cut. In fact, Franklin made it into the top five and all four cities placed in the top 35. The list, published with help from Realtor.com, ranked cities with a population of 10,000 to 100,000 based on select criteria including:

  1. Economy
  2. Cost of living
  3. Education
  4. Housing
  5. Crime
  6. Amenities
  7. Ease of living

4. Franklin

Franklin is home to a thriving, bustling economy and many businesses have taken notice. Chamber Pivotal Partner Community Health Systems is headquartered in Franklin and many other businesses have offices there, including MARS Petcare, Nissan, Tivity Health, Verizon Wireless and more.

21. Brentwood

Though Brentwood and Franklin may be close on the map, they are unique towns with unique characteristics. Brentwood has been home to Tractor Supply Company’s corporate headquarters since 2004 along with many other businesses like Chamber Pivotal Partner Delek US Holdings and more.

31. Smyrna

34. Lebanon

Lebanon and Wilson County have a lot to brag about. Lebanon is home to an Amazon Fulfillment Services center, Performance Food Group, LoJac Companies, Genesco and more. Though it feels rural, Lebanon is connected to downtown Nashville by the Music City Star rail line which makes commuting easy.
