3 Tips for Staying Healthy in the Holiday Season

Even though I live what I preach about health, my life is still stressful as a business owner. These are the top three things I've incorporated into my life that give me an extra edge.

  1. Exercise: Depression and sleep problems are worse than ever in our society. Physical exercise increases endorphins and delivers more oxygen to your brain. It doesn't have to be strenuous, just get up and move!
  2. Bulletproof Coffee: Believe it or not, coffee can be good for you. It has polyphenols in it that help your digestive system. But, it gets even better when you blend in one tablespoon of Kerrygold butter, one tablespoon of Bulletproof Brain Octane, and a dash of stevia to your cup of coffee in the morning. The healthy fats will give you instant fuel for your brain. It will keep your mind alert and keep your energy up without the crash.
  3. Take your vitamins: Unfortunately, we don't always get enough nutrients in our food supply today, even if we eat SUPER healthily. I've found that every person is a little different as to what specific ones to take, but a baseline start without testing would be Vitamin D3, Omega 3 and a whole-food based multivitamin.

About Dr. Major:

I'm a wife, a chiropractor and a health advocate for families. My vision is for Nashville to be the healthiest place to live, and for our office to be the place families come to experience complete joy, peace and healing. I've been serving on the Chamber West Leadership Team for the past two years, alongside some of the best people in the Nashville business community. What an incredible team! My husband and I first joined the Chamber when we moved here three years ago to open our health clinic. I got involved right away with the Chamber West Coffees and the new member orientations. The Chamber staff and members helped me feel instantly connected to my new city.
