Kane Harrison Talks Entrepreneurship, Honesty and the Next Awards

A champion of the local entrepreneurial community and a familiar face at many of Nashville's most prominent business events, Kane Harrison is VP and CIO of social media TV network TalkApolis. He is also co-host of the weekly "Entrepreneurial Mind" radio show with Belmont University's Dr. Jeff Cornwall.

TalkApolis is a two-time Next Awards finalist and won the digital media/startup category last year. Noting that entrepreneurship can often be lonely and stressful, Harrison said the Next Awards have been a good opportunity for him to foster connections among fellow business owners. He added that being a Next winner has helped build his company's reputation as it continues growing.

"Initially, when we won a Next Award, we were in two states ... a year later, we are in 14 states, 22 locations and have a seven-figure revenue. We're in the 'It City' and we're winning awards - why wouldn't you want to work with us?"
