Member Spotlight - Watermark Restaurant

April Macri, private events coordinator

Q: Who is Watermark, and what should fellow members know about your services?

A: Founded in late November 2005, Watermark manifests the spirit of the new Nashville restaurant scene through a contemporary approach to fine cuisine and service. The restaurant embodies the urban sophistication of its location in the rapidly developing Gulch district. Combining the building's roots as a turn-of-the-century print shop with a comfortable modern design, Watermark is accented by an expansive view of the Nashville skyline. We offer three private dining rooms seating 6 to 60 guests.

Q: What's the best thing about doing business in Middle Tennessee?
A: Guests from a wide range of backgrounds all love to enjoy a fine dining experience. Working in the city of Nashville, we are able to take this benefit to a different level. Nashville has become an amazing destination for people from all over the world, and with our restaurant being so close to downtown, we are able to provide them all with a wonderful memory they can take back to wherever their home may be. We were established with Southern roots, and being able to bring that tradition to guests from all corners of the globe is what we enjoy most about doing business here.

Q: What's your biggest goal for Watermark in the next year?
A: Watermark Restaurant has been a fine dining experience the people of Nashville could enjoy long before the local hospitality industry began to blow up. Our goal for this year is to maintain the status that we have always had and continue to remain a celebratory destination for locals and visitors alike.

Q: How do you define success?
A: To us, success is based on the longevity of maintaining a high-end product for 11 years. Every business has obstacles to overcome. Success is being able to identify those obstacles and still manage to produce a consistent product for a decade.
